EDIT: LMFAO NEVER MIND. I don't know what my muse is doing anymore.
So most people portray Dark Link as a smug, sleazy asshole with no complications and a smooth running mouth.
While some of that is okay, I realized - that doesn't really make sense in my eyes! But it's much easier to just play my own interpretation of him than to run around and try to get others to agree with me; besides, their interpretation is their interpretation.
Much like this is mine!
I view him as very dark (duh) - his humor is gallows humor, he speaks with a low, demonic voice, and his preferred topics are ones most people shy away from. He is a smug asshole at times, and he can be sleazy - but he saves that for people he really knows. Which means, yes, he doesn't treat his friends well. At all.
He is also still a Courage bearer, technically - but in a very warped sense. When Courage is twisted, it becomes Bellicosity - the inclination to fight. Hot headedness, provacative, belligerent, warlike; however you put it, his courage makes him believe that he can take on literally anything, so he's always alright with letting an argument get out of hand.
However, one must remember that he is a shadow. He is soft spoken and not one to speak out of turn, surprisingly. While he is likely to jump you with his blade raised, he's not one to start an argument.
He is also very, very unstable. Unlike Link, of course. I wouldn't go so far as insane - but definitely on some sort of mental edge.
